What's up with me...
Born and raised in Michigan, 23 year old Lilian (Lily) Flis graduated from Wayne State University, majored in graphic design, and double minored in communication studies and illustration. She is an avid movie watcher and music listener, and enjoys rainy days and anything that evokes nostalgia. She is constantly creating art and music, and loves playing video games with her friends online. She often can be found eating fries, and collecting many tiny trinkets of which she scatters around her room (like a little crow). She has the work ethic of someone who is scared of failure, and self describes her personality as a square of bowling alley carpet.
What I've created...
I have created several pieces of work that showcase my range as an artist. Many of these pieces were created under the specific parameters of different assignments, while also all being original ideas that I brought to life through my work. Each piece was created using a myriad of different materials, mixed with a variety of different abstractions, concocted by my over-active imagination.
My motivations...
My motivation with my work is to create things that I love. I want to enjoy the creative process, and I want to feel proud of my artwork when I finish it. This is precisely why I work so hard to take my ideas, no matter how intricate or impossible to construct they may be, and turn them into a reality. I also am very motivated by the way other people feel about my art. So, not only do I want to create art that I'm proud of, but I also want to create art that people enjoy looking at-- art that gets them interested and makes them happy.
